Tony Collins christened Anthony Joseph Aloysius, was born in Bond's Path Southeast Placentia in 1935. He was the son of Charles and Aggie (Tobin). Tony was the eighth of twelve children. He had polio as a boy but it never held him back. He performed at garden parties, concerts and nightclubs. His big break came in 1955 when he was invited to perform in various nightclubs at U.S. Naval Station, Argentia. The Troubadour of Bond's Path sang country songs, Newfoundland songs and Irish songs, and even wrote his own songs, for 25 years. He died in 1990.
