Peter Francis Barron, 1918-2012, was born in St. Joseph's and later moved to Freshwater. Pete was well known as a master accordion player and a fine fiddler. He started playing at eight years old and shared his tunes and talent for his entire life. He was much sought after to play at parties, weddings and dances.
